Omar Samra is a serial entrepreneur, adventurer, UN Goodwill Ambassador and future astronaut. He is the first Egyptian to summit Mount Everest, the highest mountain on every continent (7 Summits) and ski to both the geographic North and South Pole, thereby joining a group of less than 40 people in history to complete the Explorers Grand Slam. Most recently Mr. Samra climbed three mountains in Antarctica that had never been climbed before and earned the unique privilege of naming them. In 2013, he was the only Arab to win a ticket to outer space in a competition which attracted more than two million applicants, and he is now preparing for the mission. Mr. Samra began his career in investment banking and private equity in London and Hong Kong.
